Clinical Psychology and Experimental Psychopathology

Welcome to the website of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Experimental Psychopathology!

On 01.10.2023 Prof. Dr. Marcella Woud took over leadership of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Experimental Psychopathology. 

Via our research we aim to better understand how biases in cognitive processes (including their neural, physiological, and behavioural underpinnings) contribute to the development and maintenance of emotional psychopathology. To do so, we  assess cognitive biases and also try to develop better assessment methods. Additionally we conduct translational research, including developing computerized cognitive training procedures, in order to improve and expand our therapeutic interventions in a mechanism-specific manner.
