Alperen Doğaner

Alperen obtained his bachelor’s degrees in Psychology (BA) and Guidance and Psychological Counselling (BEd). With a keen interest in goal-directedness of human behavior, he then pursued a master's degree in Cognitive Psychology at Bogazici University, investigating the role of temporal anticipation in goal-directed action selection. After his graduation, he spent a year working as a researcher in a digital health company, designing personality and cognitive tests in virtual reality.

Since June 2024, he has been a PhD student and member of the department for Cognition, Emotion and Behavior at the Institute for Psychology at the University of Göttingen. His current research interests involve the investigation of stimuli that convey social relevance, and dissociating different relevance dimensions.
