Die Regulation des Gruppenprozesses bei der Entscheidungsfindung. = The regulation of group process in decision making
Zeitschrift für Sozialpsychologie
Studied the influence of different task instructions and different organizational roles on group processes in decision-making situations. 150 senior public administration officials were divided into 30 groups of 5 participants each, and each group was asked to reach a decision on a complex administrative issue. The task instructions varied according to 3 models of group leadership and cooperation, and Ss were instructed to assume different organizational roles. The decision-making process in each group was evaluated with time-series analyses of long-term and short-term dynamic regulation patterns, and the effects of task instruction and organizational role were analyzed via an ANOVA. The quality of the decision and Ss' satisfaction with the decision-making process and outcome were also assessed. (English abstract) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
